The Project

We were contacted by a local manufacturer based on a trading estate in Thorne, Doncaster who had recently decided to make their offices more secure during working hours and needed Access Control.

They asked us to design and quote for an Access Control system that would allow fifty staff members to easily access the main office entrance.

We quoted for a stand-alone Paxton Switch2 system that controlled two aluminium doors using a simple electronic fob that was held up to a proximity reader. Once the fob was presented to the reader, the magnetic locks released the doors.

At their request, we also installed an override switch on the outside of the doors, which would allow the shift managers to disable the system from outside if necessary.
